Privacy Policy

Markon Metalworks ("we", "us") runs markonmetalworks.ca. This page explains what information the website collects, why, and what we do with it. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

What we collect

When you send us an inquiry through the contact form, we receive:

• your name and phone number;
• your email address, if you choose to give it;
• the service you selected and the project details you write;
• the date and time, and your device's IP address. The IP address is used to block spam and repeated automated submissions and is saved with the inquiry record.

If you call or email us directly, we receive the information you share in that conversation.

How we use it

We use this information only to answer your inquiry, prepare quotes, schedule and carry out work you ask us to do, and keep normal business records. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.

Where it is stored

Each inquiry is delivered to our business email and a backup copy is kept on our web host, in a private folder that is not accessible from the internet. Our website and email are provided by Network Solutions. Some of our service providers, including Network Solutions and Google, are based in the United States, so your information may be stored or processed outside Canada and be subject to the laws of those countries. We keep inquiries only as long as we need them to respond to you and for our business records.

Cookies and third-party services

We do not set any cookies of our own. The website does use these outside services, which may receive your IP address and browser information when the page loads:

• Google Ads tag: helps us measure how well our ads work. It sets advertising cookies on this site (for example _gcl_au). You can control ad personalization at adssettings.google.com or block cookies in your browser settings.
• Google Fonts and cdnjs (Cloudflare): deliver the fonts and animation code the site uses.
• Google Drive: our project photo links open shared folders on Google Drive.

These services handle data under their own privacy policies.

Team portal

The Team Portal at /timesheets is a private tool for our own staff and is not open to the public.

Your choices

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing info@markonmetalworks.ca. We will reply within 30 days.
